The RMA New England Chapter Women’s Affinity Group Presents: Scary Stories and Lessons Learned

In keeping with a Halloween theme, the discussion will focus on “scary” stories as told by bankers with experience in workout, asset-based lending, and turnaround work.
 
Panelists will be asked to share: 

  • Steps which led up to the “scary” stories
  • What could have been done to avoid the “horrific” outcomes?
  • Post-mortem and lessons learned.

Patricia (Pasha) Timilty, SVP, Commercial Banking South - Eastern Bankshares

Patricia is responsible for developing and deepening banking relationships with mid-to-large sized business clients, including origination of credit facilities, servicing individual loan portfolios, and providing access to additional banking products and services to meet the client’s strategic goals. She has over 25 years of banking experience in sectors such as distribution, manufacturing, real estate, technology and construction. She joined the Eastern Bank Commercial team in 2020 prior to working   eight years the Global Restructuring Group for a National Bank in New England. Patricia holds an undergraduate degree in Finance from Northeastern University and is a current Board member of MassEcon.

Sean McKenna, Vice President, Commercial Lending - Rockland Trust

Sean McKenna has been a Commercial Lender III at Rockland Trust since May 2015. In this role he underwrites commercial real estate for committee review and approval. Sean manages a $300MM_+ loan portfolio. Pror to this Sean was with the Controlled Loan Department and OREO manager from January 2010 – May 2015. He was a key team membet in restructuring and workouts. Sean was the OREO department manager, responsible for a $20MM loan portfolio and OREO portfolio.

Kerin Pintzopoulis, SVP, Special Assets - Enterprise Bank & Trust

Kerin Pintzopoulos is a Senior Vice President and the Loan Workout Manager for Enterprise Bank’s commercial, construction, and residential mortgage portfolio where she leads a team of loan workout and collections staff.  As an attorney with a social work background, Kerin’s unique skillset lends itself to assisting Bank customers who may unexpectedly find themselves in a financial hardship.  Her 20 years of combined experience and competencies, especially during times of economic uncertainty, are a valuable resource.  Kerin was raised in southeastern Massachusetts, where she has also gained experience helping her family manage a local real estate rental business.  Kerin is passionate about advocating for children in crisis and volunteers as an advisory board member at Family Service of the Merrimack Valley and the regional board of the Department and Children and Families.  Outside of work, Kerin enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, hiking with their family dogs, and exploring new destinations.

Corinne Smith, Internal Auditor - Crowe

Corinne Smith is currently the Loan Review Consulting Manager for Crowe which one of the top ten accounting firms in the world. Her career has been focused on the banking industry working for several banks over her 30+ year career. Corinne is a results-focused Financial Services professional with key competencies in credit risk management, effective challenge for complex commercial and real estate secured loan transactions and evaluation of adherence to lending policies and underwriting standards. Proficient in leveraging extensive commercial lending knowledge to collaborate with business development teams to ensure loan transactions meet regulatory and compliance requirements. Adept at managing concurrent objectives to promote adherence to risk appetite and tolerance limits in support of lending program growth. Excels at developing the next generation of credit professionals.
