Please join us for a lively discussion by several senior lenders in our area about hot topics that they are dealing with at the current time.  Some of the topics that are on the agenda are:  Fairness in Banking regulations, SBA Hot Topics, Appraisal Review issues and others.  Come and hear some of our regions experts describe the issues that they are dealing with internally and within their examinations by their regulators (the things that keep many of us up at night these days…).  There will be some great information shared by the panel and also will be a good opportunity to ask questions as well!  And of course, a great lunch at Carbone’s.

Our panelists are Jayne Kelly, Senior Vice President at ION Ban (formerly Naugatuck Savings Bank), Kim Lebron,  Chief Loan Officer at Thomaston Savings Bank, and Jeffry Pierce.

Kim Lebron

After serving six years in the United State Army, Kim started her banking career at Connecticut National Bank in Waterbury, CT.  During her 20+ years in banking, she has held numerous positions in the commercial lending arena from Loan Administration, Credit Analyst, Commercial Lender to her current position, Chief Loan Officer, at Thomaston Savings Bank.

Kim graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Post University.  She is also a graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance and Management and the ABA Stonier School of Banking.

Jayne Kelly

Jayne currently serves as Senior VP, Chief Commercial Lending Officer at Ion Bank based in Naugatuck Ct. She joined the Bank in 1998. Prior to Ion she was Assistant VP in Commercial Lending at Centerbank in Waterbury CT. Prior to Centerbank she was an Investment Analyst with Travelers Insurance Co., Real Estate Investment Department based in Cincinnati Ohio.

She is a graduate of National School of Banking and serves on the Board and Board of Finance for United Way Greater Waterbury and as Advisory Board member for the Women’s Business Development Council.

Jeffry K. Pierce

Jeff joined TD Bank in October 2012 as a Vice President Senior Business Development Officer in the SBA Division responsible for all SBA 7a and 504 loans in the Hartford, CT and Central and Western MA markets.  Before joining TD Bank, Jeff was a Sr. Commercial Loan Officer at Liberty Bank.  Prior to that, Jeff had been serving as a Sr. Business Development Officer at UPS Capital Business Credit (1997-2010) in the SBA Department, he was a Senior Credit Analyst for 2 years with Mechanics Savings Bank (1992-1997), and a commercial lender with the SBA group of Mechanics. His previous 7 years (1985-1992) were with The Bank of Hartford and Bank of Boston CT in various capacities.  Jeff graduated with a BS degree in Finance from Central Connecticut State University.

Before founding ORMS, Derek, a civil/environmental engineer with an MBA from the University of Connecticut, served as managing director at Environmental Data Resources (EDR), a national environmental information company. His previous experience includes management positions with Marsh USA, where he was an insurance risk management professional; FleetBoston, where he served as the environmental risk manager for the bank’s Small Business Services Division; and Travelers, where, as an engineering manager, he helped resolve complex environmental cases.
